Utopia Park on the Sabinal River was established in 1929 on a dammed stretch of clear Hill Country water. Texas Highways notes the high launch point on the park rope swing above one of the finest swimming holes in the region. Painted buntings and other riparian birds frequent the cypress-lined banks.
