Elevation: 0 ft
Description
City park at Tonkawa Falls near Crawford — waterfall and rock-lined pools on a Bosque River tributary northwest of Waco.
Historical Notes
Tonkawa Falls Park preserves a waterfall and series of pools that have cooled off Central Texans for decades. TPWD Magazine lists Tonkawa Falls among the honorable mentions beyond its top ten. The park is managed by the City of Crawford area; water flow is rain-dependent. Limestone ledges and shaded banks make it a classic non-Hill-Country river hole. Coordinates mark Tonkawa Falls Park northwest of Crawford in Coryell County.
