Elevation: 0 ft
Description
Historic spring-fed swimming pool in San Antonio — oldest municipal park in Texas, on the headwaters of San Pedro Creek.
Historical Notes
San Pedro Springs Park at 2200 N Flores Street preserves one of Texas's great urban spring pools. The springs were used for thousands of years before Spanish settlement and fed the oldest municipal park in the state. The pool is spring-fed, shaded by mature trees, and open year-round with free admission through San Antonio Parks & Recreation. Water temperature stays relatively cool compared with Hill Country rivers. Hill Country Portal lists the site without GPS coordinates; coordinates mark the park pool on the San Pedro Springs headwaters.
