Gothenburg Farmer Buried Wealth

Lost Treasure NE • Dawson County County
Description
Gothenburg legend of a farmer burying numerous caches of wealth on his farm — a Dawson County hoard cluster on the Platte.
Historical Notes
Gothenburg grew along the Union Pacific on the Platte River in western Dawson County. Compiled guides credit a prosperous farmer with concealing multiple wealth caches on his farm near Gothenburg. The tradition complements Lexington outlaw lore and Fort Kearney soldier gold along the Oregon Trail.
