Texas Highways notes swimming, picnicking, and a boat ramp for paddlers and small motors (25 hp or less). Day use is $4 per person; river hours 8 a.m.–9 p.m. Tubing, kayaking, and bank swimming are popular in the shaded Nueces shallows.
