West Dallas Barrow Gang Hideout Loot

Lost Treasure TX • Dallas County County
Description
Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow grew up in West Dallas and led the Barrow Gang on Depression-era bank and store robberies across the Central states — folklore holds loot was stashed near their West Dallas camps.
Historical Notes
Clyde Barrow's family lived on Eagle Ford Road in West Dallas; Bonnie Parker was from Cement City nearby. The couple and the Barrow Gang robbed banks, gas stations, and grocery stores from Texas to Iowa in 1932–1934. Unlike Sam Bass silver-and-gold legends, Barrow Gang "treasure" tales describe cash and jewelry hidden near West Dallas safe houses before the ambush that killed Bonnie and Clyde in Louisiana on May 23, 1934. No authenticated cache has been found. The story is included because the Barrow Gang is among the most famous outlaw traditions tied to Dallas itself — distinct from the 1870s train-robbery lore.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
