Virginia City Stone Arch Gold Cache

Lost Treasure NV • Storey County County
Description
Comstock legend of a large gold cache stolen from Virginia City and buried near a five-foot stone arch in rugged country northwest of town — separate from Six Mile Canyon stage loot.
Historical Notes
Storey County treasure lore includes multiple Comstock-era thefts concealed in the hills above the greatest silver district in American history. Legends of America describes a stone arch landmark five feet wide and tall marking the vicinity of a buried theft northwest of Virginia City. The story complements Jack Davis and prison-stage legends along the Virginia City–Carson City corridor.
