Tim Cody Lost Gold Ledge — Gabbs

Lost Treasure NV • Nye County County
Description
Central Nevada legend of prospector Tim Cody finding a rich quartz vein near Stewart Springs south of Gabbs in a winter storm — he could see Paradise and Rawhide peaks from the summit but never found the ledge again.
Historical Notes
Cody sheltered in an abandoned shaft during a windstorm, then climbed a ridge and spotted gold in quartz while orienting toward Goldyke. He reached Goldyke for supplies but repeated searches from Stewart Springs failed to relocate the outcrop. A 1949 party with Cody's map also came up empty; Legends of America places the lost ledge in hills south of Gabbs.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
