Description
1920s Terre Haute legend of a bank employee embezzling about $95,000 in paper currency, burying it on a farm outside town by State Road 42, then committing suicide.
Historical Notes
Vigo County folklore describes a banker who stole roughly ninety-five thousand dollars and hid the paper money on a farm. He took his own life without revealing the exact spot along the State Road 42 corridor west of Terre Haute.
