The Rocker Box Burnet County compilation states outlaw loot is hidden in a stolen safe filled with money in a well near Sudduth. Burnet County suffered rampant counterfeiting, cattle theft, and Reconstruction-era banditry in the 1860s and 1870s. Well-and-safe cache tales are staples of Central Texas treasure guides wherever post-war outlaws converted robbery proceeds to portable hoards. No authenticated recovery has been documented near Sudduth. Coordinates approximate the Sudduth community area in central Burnet County north of Marble Falls.
