Description
Mercury mining ghost town at the western entrance to Big Bend National Park. Part of the larger Terlingua mining district.
Historical Notes
Named after pioneer Will Study. Quick-silver (mercury) mining boomed here in the early 20th century. Many adobe ruins and old mining structures still visible.
