Description
Well-preserved 1880s gold and silver mining town in the Sawatch Range. One of Colorado's best surviving ghost towns.
Historical Notes
Founded 1880. Had hotels, saloons, a school, and telegraph. Mining declined after 1910s. Many original buildings remain; some privately owned but the main street is very photogenic and accessible.
