Shovel Creek Lost Mine — Rogersburg

Lost Treasure WA • Asotin County County
Description
Southeast Washington legend of the lost Shovel Creek Mine off the Snake River near remote Rogersburg — a river boomtown reachable by road only after 1938.
Historical Notes
Rogersburg in Asotin County was stimulated by gold discoveries along the Snake River with fewer than twenty-five residents in modern times. Legends of America lists the Shovel Creek Mine, Trio Lost Mine, prospector caches, and Charley Maguire stage loot in the same Rogersburg country. The Shovel Creek entry anchors the remote corner of Washington's legendary-mine map.
