Shoshone Lost Silver Ledge — Stillwater Range

Lost Treasure NV • Churchill County County
Description
Western Nevada legend of a rich silver ore ledge in the remote Stillwater Range — known to Shoshone tradition and prospectors but never pinned to a map in Churchill and Pershing counties.
Historical Notes
The seventy-mile Stillwater Range along western Nevada's empty country is said to hide a fabulously rich silver source called the Shoshone Lost Ledge. Legends of America places the story in sparsely populated Churchill and Pershing county backcountry where few landmarks survive for relocation. The tale belongs to Great Basin ledge-lore distinct from Comstock silver strikes farther west.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
