Description
Historic silver mining ghost town in the Chinati Mountains of far West Texas. Once a thriving community with over 2,000 residents in the early 1900s.
Historical Notes
Silver was discovered here in 1880. The town had stores, saloons, a school, and a large mill. Abandoned after the mines closed in the 1940s. Several stone ruins remain.
