Central Washington legend of outlaws burying $30,000 in gold in a cave on Sentinel Mountain in the Saddle Mountains about three miles southeast of Beverly.
Historical Notes
The Saddle Mountain Range rises above the Columbia River plateau in Grant County east of Beverly. Compiled Washington lore describes a cave cache of roughly thirty thousand dollars placed by outlaws and never relocated. The story belongs to Grant County desert-foothill treasure traditions alongside Rogersburg Snake River legends.
