Historical Notes
The Rocker Box Callahan County compilation describes the Sems Treasure as lying buried somewhere on a small ranch near Clyde. Clyde developed as a Texas and Pacific Railroad town between Abilene and Baird. Callahan County sits on the Edwards Plateau break where cattle trails and later rail lines connected Abilene to Central Texas. Regional guidebooks cited by The Rocker Box place scattered outlaw and rancher caches in the county's cedar breaks. Coordinates mark Clyde in eastern Callahan County. Private ranch land — legend only.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
