Sam Bass Buried Loot — Oak Cliff Trinity River

Lost Treasure TX • Dallas County County
Description
Folklore that the Sam Bass Gang buried robbery loot along the Trinity River near Oak Cliff — a classic Dallas-area outlaw cache legend.
Historical Notes
Oak Cliff developed on the south bank of the Trinity River opposite early Dallas. Treasure guides report that Bass gang loot was concealed along the river bottoms and bluffs in the Oak Cliff area. The Trinity and its tributaries (including White Rock Creek to the east) were remote corridors in the 1870s, suitable for outlaw camps between train robberies at Mesquite, Hutchins, and Eagle Ford. Coordinates approximate the Oak Cliff river corridor near the Dallas–Trinity confluence. No cache has been verified.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
