Historical Notes
The Rocker Box Duval County lost-treasure compilation states that six burro loads of silver were thrown into a well near Realitos. Realitos is a small Duval County community south of Freer on the historic sheep-and-rail corridor between San Diego and the Rio Grande hinterland. Burro-load and well-sink tales are common in South Texas guidebooks citing W. C. Jameson's Guide to Treasure in Texas. No authenticated recovery is documented at Realitos. Coordinates mark Realitos in southern Duval County.
