Led by Sim Jan, the gang including Big Nose George Parrot robbed pay wagons and stages in Wyoming's Powder River country before Parrot boasted in Miles City and faced extradition. Treasure writers speculate Frank McKinney and Sim Jan escaped with unrecovered loot when the gang split after Rattlesnake Canyon, hiding caches along the Montana–Wyoming Powder River breaks.
