Post Blanco Canyon Outlaw Cache — Garza County

Lost Treasure TX • Garza County County
Description
Garza County legend of outlaw loot buried in Blanco Canyon near Post — the Caprock break where C. W. Post founded his model town on the eastern Llano Estacado.
Historical Notes
Blanco Canyon cuts through the Caprock escarpment in Garza County near Post, where cereal magnate C. W. Post established his namesake town in 1907. The canyon was a landmark on Comanche trails and later cattle drives between the High Plains and Rolling Plains. Outlaw cache tales cluster at Caprock breaks where stage and wagon traffic narrowed into defiles. Post's Double U Ranch and OS Ranch operations anchored early Garza County ranching wealth. Coordinates approximate Blanco Canyon in central Garza County southeast of Lubbock.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
