Warwick legend of pirate Peter Gifford burying up to one million dollars in loot at or near Warwick Point on Narragansett Bay — a Kent County shore hoard tale.

Warwick Point juts into Narragansett Bay at the southern end of Warwick in Kent County. Compiled New England guides credit pirate Peter Gifford with concealing as much as one million dollars near the point. The tradition complements East Greenwich cryptogram lore along the western shore of the bay.
