Pedernales Falls State Park Bluff Outlaw Cache — Blanco County

Lost Treasure TX • Blanco County County
Description
Northern Blanco County legend of outlaw loot buried in Pedernales Falls limestone bluffs — where the river cuts through the Hill Country west of Johnson City.
Historical Notes
Pedernales Falls State Park preserves a scenic reach of the Pedernales River in northern Blanco County. The river drains central Blanco County from west of Johnson City toward the Gillespie County line and Lake Lyndon B. Johnson. Pedernales bluff-cache folklore appears throughout Hill Country treasure guides wherever Reconstruction-era banditry and open-range ranching overlapped. Related Fredericksburg-area entries document separate Gillespie County Pedernales variants; searching state park lands is prohibited. Coordinates approximate Pedernales Falls State Park northwest of Johnson City in Blanco County.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
