Paris Landing Confederate Cannon Cache

Lost Treasure TN • Stewart / Benton County County
Description
Paris Landing legend of Confederates burying weapons and a bronze cannon during the 1862 retreat — supposedly near where Highway 79 crosses Kentucky Lake.
Historical Notes
South of Fort Henry's ruins, Paris Landing on Kentucky Lake is tied to folklore of a large weapons cache and bronze cannon buried as Confederate lines collapsed in early 1862. Treasure guides place the site near the Route 79 bridge crossing — a landmark still used to orient shoreline searches. The cannon legend complements coin caches at Bear Springs and Carlisle as part of western Tennessee's Fort Donelson fallout stories.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
