Oliver Coach Beaverhead River Robbery Loot

Lost Treasure MT • Beaverhead County County
Description
1863 Beaverhead River legend of three masked men robbing the Oliver Coach from Virginia City west of the Point of Rocks stage station — loot never traced after the territorial gold rush holdup.
Historical Notes
The second documented stage robbery of the Plummer sheriff period targeted the Oliver Coach on the east bank west of Point of Rocks; no passengers were killed. Treasure lore treats the site as one of several small caches along the Bannack–Virginia City corridor rather than a single recovered strongbox. Coordinates approximate the Point of Rocks stage country on the Beaverhead River.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
