Historical Notes
The Rocker Box Live Oak County compilation states that an iron safe of treasure is said to be buried at or near Mikeska. A related entry on the same page describes two burro loads of gold buried near Mikeska. The Nueces accepts the Frio and Atascosa rivers near Three Rivers before turning southeast toward Corpus Christi.
