Historical Notes
The Rocker Box Zavala County compilation describes several millions in gold and silver from a massacred Mexican wagon train buried near Crystal City. The Nueces flows southeast from the Edwards Plateau through Zavala and Dimmit counties before turning northeast through McMullen County.
