Gold is found along much of the length of the North Fork of the Snoqualmi River. Half mile up Illinois creek in sections 8 and 9 T25N R10E, is the Beaverdale Mine. The Rushing Mine is 6 claims that produced lode gold in the same area. In the Buena Vista district, in section 7 and 18, is the Lennox Mine. It was 45 claims, with bunkhouse, mess hall and stamp mill. Two miles by trail from the North Fork of the Snoqualmi River and about 3.5 miles above the Lennox River, in sections 9 and 10, is the Luck Strike Mine, which produced lode gold, silver and copper. Near the head of the North fork of the Snoqualmi River, in NW 1/4 section 4, is the Monte Carlo Mine. It consisted of 13 claims that produced lode gold and silver. East of there on a dirt road to the Taylor River district, in section 16 T24N R10E, is the Rainy Mine. Near Snoqualmi Pass, on the South fork of the Snoqualmi River, in sections 7 and 8 T22N R11E, is the Carmack Mine. It consisted of 5 claims that produced gold, copper, lead and silver.
