The Rocker Box Jasper County compilation describes a cave near the Neches River with Mexican bodies and a large gold cache. Jasper County lies downstream from Angelina County on the Neches through the Deep East Texas timber belt. Neches River treasure lore clusters around Mexican-era crossings, Civil War traffic, and steamboat landings at Town Bluff and Magnolia Springs. No authenticated recovery is documented. Coordinates approximate mid–Neches River country in Jasper County south of Lufkin.
