Historical Notes
The Rocker Box Mills County page states $40,000 in gold coins is thought to be buried near Mullin. Mullin is a small Mills County community on the Santa Fe Railroad corridor south of Goldthwaite. Large coin-hoard legends appear throughout Central Texas where stage, rail, and ranch commerce overlapped in the late nineteenth century. No authenticated recovery has been documented at Mullin. Coordinates mark Mullin in Mills County south of Hico.
