Lost Treasure TX • Menard County County
Description

Historical Notes
The Rocker Box lists $10,000 in stolen loot buried near an old corral close to Menard. Menard served as a frontier trading post on the San Saba River before the railroad era. Corral and ranch-outbuilding caches appear frequently in West Texas outlaw compilations from the 1870s–1880s cattle-and-stage period. No authenticated recovery documented. Coordinates approximate Menard townsite. Related treasures: Pegleg Crossing, Lost San Saba Mine, and Jim Bowie silver legends in the same county.
