Lost Silver Bell Providence Church Tower

Lost Treasure RI • Providence County County
Description
Providence legend of the lost silver bell from a colonial church tower — thought to be hidden somewhere in old Providence rather than melted down.
Historical Notes
Compiled New England guides describe a silver church bell removed and concealed during unrest or renovation. The bell is said to remain hidden in colonial Providence rather than having been sold for scrap.
