Lost Rhoads Mine Uintah County Uinta Mountains — Uintah County

Lost Treasure UT • Uintah County County
Description
Uintah County variant of the Lost Rhoads Mine legend — Thomas Rhoades' secret Uinta Mountains bonanza placed in Uintah, Summit, Daggett, or Duchesne counties by regional treasure atlases.
Historical Notes
The Rocker Box Uintah County page places the Lost Rhoads Mine somewhere in the Uinta Mountains, noting it could also lie in Summit, Daggett, or Duchesne counties — the heart of Utah Rhoades family treasure lore. Uintah Basin hunters connect Rhoades legends to 1858 Mormon five-dollar coins, Spanish furnaces, and Blind Frog Ranch Aztec gold theories, though geologists dispute large natural gold deposits in the Uintas. Coordinates mark the High Uintas approach from the Uintah County side. Wilderness and forest lands — legend only; complements statewide Lost Rhoades Mine — High Uintas entry.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
