Historical Notes
Vanderpool , Real County (and a minor portion in Bandera County). Scenic natural area on the upper Sabinal River with rugged trails, primitive campsites, and a spring-fed swimming hole near the main campground. Features include restrooms, showers, picnic areas, and 10+ mi of hiking trails. No lifeguards. Entry: $6 per adult, free under 13. Open daily, 8a–4:30p (reservations recommended).
