Lake Miller Lafitte Cache — Mont Belvieu

Lost Treasure TX • Chambers County County
Description
East Houston legend that Jean Lafitte buried treasure near Lake Miller in Chambers County — a reservoir east of Mont Belvieu in the upper Galveston Bay petrochemical corridor.
Historical Notes
Lake Miller lies in Chambers County near Mont Belvieu and the ExxonMobil Baytown complex. The area was coastal prairie and cattle country during the Lafitte period, with bayou access to Trinity Bay and the Houston Ship Channel. The Rocker Box Chambers County compilation attributes a Lafitte treasure to the Lake Miller vicinity. Smugglers moving goods between Galveston Island and inland markets would have valued secluded freshwater lakes as rendezvous points. Coordinates mark Lake Miller east of Houston. Respect private property and industrial security zones.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
