Description
Once called the 'Wickedest Town in the West.' Major copper (and some gold/silver) mining town perched on Cleopatra Hill overlooking the Verde Valley.
Historical Notes
Boomed in the 1890s–1920s. Population dropped dramatically after mines closed. Today a vibrant artists' community with historic buildings, hotels, and the Jerome Grand Hotel (former hospital, reportedly haunted).
