Historical Notes
Wimberley , at 1699 Mt Sharp Rd, Hays County. 81-ac county preserve featuring a 140-ft deep artesian spring that feeds Cypress Creek, with vertical cave system. Swimming allowed by reservation only, during summer season, May–Sept, when water levels permit. No lifeguards. Access requires a 15-min hike from parking. Also features hiking trails, picnic areas, and guided nature tours. Entry: $9 adults, $5 youth/seniors/military, free under 5. Typical access: May–Sep. Open daily, 8a–6p. Parking & adm Listed in Cofran's Texas Hill Country Portal — Swimming Holes. Water depth and access vary with drought and flood conditions; most sites have no lifeguards.
