Historical Notes
The Harpe Brothers were notorious frontier killers who terrorized the Ohio Valley in the late eighteenth century. Compiled guides place Harpe plunder concealed roughly ten miles south of Henderson on the Green River. The tale pairs with Paducah coin caches and western Kentucky outlaw traditions along the Ohio.
