Historical Notes
The Rocker Box Uintah County list describes a large cache of gold hidden by Indians prior to being attacked and killed by soldiers near the confluence of the Green and Willow Rivers. The Green River flows through Dinosaur National Monument and Jensen country; Willow Creek tributaries drain the Uintah Basin plateau toward the river near the Utah–Colorado line.
