The Rocker Box Mills County compilation describes a cave containing a large cache of Spanish gold and silver supposedly located northeast of Goldthwaite. Goldthwaite is the Mills County seat on the Santa Fe line in the Pecan Bayou country. Spanish cave-hoard tales appear throughout Central Texas where entrada folklore meets limestone ranch country.
