Fleagle Gang Lamar Robbery Cache — Garden City

Lost Treasure KS • Finney County County
Description
Western Kansas legend of Ralph and Jake Fleagle burying $220,000 from the 1928 Lamar, Colorado, bank robbery on their Garden City ranch — with additional caches still unfound in Scott and Finney counties.
Historical Notes
The Fleagle brothers led a gang responsible for dozens of Great Plains heists. After robbing the First National Bank of Lamar for $220,000 in 1928, they buried the loot on their Finney County ranch. Ralph Fleagle secretly buried money across Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and California. Some caches were found in 1952, 1961, and in California, but legends persist near Garden City and Battle Canyon in Scott County. A fingerprint on Dr. Wineinger's car broke the case; Jake Fleagle died in a Missouri shootout while Ralph was hanged in Colorado.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
