Enchanted Rock Little Rock Tonkawa Spiritual Cache — Llano County

Lost Treasure TX • Llano County County
Description
Little Rock legend of a Tonkawa spiritual cache at Enchanted Rock's secondary granite dome — the smaller outcrop in the state natural area near the main summit.
Historical Notes
Enchanted Rock State Natural Area includes the main pink granite dome and smaller granite outcrops including Little Rock along the segmented ridge of the middle Precambrian batholith. Tonkawa and Comanche peoples associated the entire ridge with spirits and sacrifice. Secondary-dome folklore sometimes places separate votive or warrior caches on lesser summits visible from the main Enchanted Rock trail system. Archaeological surveys documented prehistoric use of the greater Enchanted Rock site. Coordinates approximate the Little Rock area within Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. Stay on marked trails; no digging.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
