Description
This area is where I started prospecting back in 1978. I tried panning on Cherry Creek in some residential neighborhoods near Franktown. I didn't find much gold, but I didn't know what I was doing either. (heh heh) This is probably the closest mining site to the town of Colorado Springs in which I lived.
