Bristol Shore Pirate Caches

Lost Treasure RI • Bristol County County
Description
Bristol County legend of pirate caches along the east shore of Narragansett Bay — a mainland complement to Newport and Washington island hoard tales.
Historical Notes
Bristol town sits on a peninsula between Narragansett Bay and Mount Hope Bay in Bristol County. Colonial shipping and pirate traffic through the bay made the Bristol shore a natural setting for concealed hoards. The tradition pairs with Warren and Barrington bay-shore cache lore on the same eastern Narragansett corridor.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
