Historical Notes
Blanco was county seat 1858–1891; the 1885 limestone courthouse (now visitor center) anchors the square. Town festivals, market days, and community events have used the square for more than 150 years. Blanco County Courthouse Historic District; centerpiece of Hill Country heritage tourism.
