Blanco State Park

Description
CCC-era state park on the Blanco River in Blanco town; among the first four Texas parks to receive a Civilian Conservation Corps company (1933).
Historical Notes
Ranchers donated land in 1933; CCC Company 854 built dams, bridges, picnic areas, and roads June 1933–May 1934. Stone tables and benches remain from New Deal construction. One of the smallest Texas state parks at 104 acres; swimming holes on the Blanco River attract Hill Country visitors.
