Big Nose George Parrot Miles City Outlaw Loot — Custer County

Lost Treasure MT • Custer County County
Description
Miles City legend of George "Big Nose George" Parrot boasting of Union Pacific and Powder River road-agent crimes in town — triggering his 1880 extradition while gang payroll caches supposedly remained hidden on the eastern plains.
Historical Notes
Wyoming treasure compilations record Parrot's Sim Jan gang robbing pay wagons and stages between Rawlins and Casper; Parrot bragged of the crimes in Miles City, Montana, leading to extradition and Carbon County vigilante lynchings. Sweetwater County lore separately places Parrot's Point of Rocks cache in Wyoming; Miles City tradition treats the confession as proof unrecovered eastern-Montana hoards still lie along the Powder River approaches. Coordinates mark historic downtown Miles City saloon and stockyard country. Private property — legend only.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
