Description
Bertram school community established 1882 when the San Gabriel settlement moved to the Austin and Northwestern Railroad; later part of Burnet Consolidated ISD.
Historical Notes
Bertram was established in 1882 when the community of San Gabriel in Williamson County relocated to the new railroad. A post office opened the same year. By 2016 Bertram was served by Burnet Consolidated Independent School District. The town hosts the annual Oatmeal Festival with neighboring Oatmeal.
