Beeville Campfire Gold Cache

Lost Treasure TX • Bee County County
Description
Bee County legend of a cache of gold buried under a campfire somewhere south of Beeville — guidebook lore in the coastal prairie west of Victoria.
Historical Notes
Beeville is the Bee County seat on the coastal plain between San Antonio and Victoria. The Rocker Box Bee County compilation cites gold hidden under a campfire south of town — a classic outlaw concealment method in Texas treasure guides. Bee County was part of the Mexican land grants later crossed by cattle trails and the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railway. Some variants tie campfire caches to trail robbers or Confederate deserters. Coordinates mark Beeville; search lore points south into ranch country toward Skidmore and Pettus.
Status / Verification legend — Legendary or approximate
